2011-2012 Summary of Ski Resorts Deals & Discounts Available for Active Duty Military & DoD

Northern CA / Lake Tahoe Area:

Alpine Ski Resort - Offers active duty free lift tickets.

Boreal Ski Resort –  Active duty ski for $15 on Fridays. Holiday restrictions include November 26, and December 31.

Diamond Peak Ski Resort – Active duty and retirees are eligible to receive a FREE Diamond Peak lift ticket (midweek, non-holiday) and a $39 lift ticket weekends and holidays by showing a Military ID at Guest Services. Dependants receive a $39 lift ticket, valid any day.

Donner Ski Ranch – Active duty and students with IDs receive a $15 lift ticket on Mondays and Fridays.  Discount not valid on holidays. Blackout dates apply November 22-23, December 22 – January 4, February 18 and 22.

Heavenly Ski Resort – Active duty, reservists, and family members 13 & up ski for $62 and children 12 & under ski for $33.  Holiday restrictions will apply.

Homewood – Active duty ski for free any day of the week! Dependants also receive 50% off day lift tickets when accompanied by active duty military.

Kirkwood Mountain Resort –  Active duty military only ski for $53.

Mount Shasta - Active duty military lift tickets for $25. Valid seven days a week.

Mount Rose Ski Resort– Active duty ski for $39 any day of the week. Blackout dates require paid lift passes. December 18 – January 2 and February 19 & 20.

Northstar at Tahoe – Active duty ski free on Sundays. Holiday restrictions apply.

Sierra at Tahoe – Active duty ski free on Sundays. Holiday restrictions apply.

Squaw Valley Ski Resort –  Active duty ski for free Sunday thru Friday. Saturday and some blackout dates require paid lift passes. December 24 – January 2, January 15 & 16, February 19 & 20

Sugarbowl Ski Resort – Offers Active duty 50% discount off their rack rate ski lift ticket.  $71 non-holidays, $77 holidays.

Central CA

Badger Pass – (Yosemite area) Offers active duty a military discount

Dodge Ridge – (Pinecrest area) Offers active duty and family members a military discount. Adult lift tickets are $49, teens are $49, 5 and under are free

Mammoth Mountain Resort – (Mammoth Lakes) Active duty, retirees, and dependants receive a 25% discount off lift tickets Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. A 50% discount is offered Monday thru Friday.

Ski China Lakes – Active duty receives $10 off lift tickets any day.

Southern CA

Bear Mountain Ski Resort – (Big Bear area) Uniform days (active duty military) get a $38 lift ticket on January 5-6, February 2-3, March 9-10, and April 6-7. Bring your ID and get your ticket at the resort. Also, ski or ride free on your birthday.

Mountain High Ski Resort – Discounted tickets to active duty (and other uniforms). Discounted rate is $45 for an 8 hour ticket. Valid 7 days a week including holidays.

Snow Summit Ski Resort – (Big Bear area) Uniform days (active duty military) get a $38 lift ticket on January 5-6, February 2-3, March 9-10, and April 6-7. Bring your ID and get your ticket at the resort. Also, ski or ride free on your birthday.

Stars and Stripes Pass - Active duty and their family members (unlimited ski season at Loveland plus 3 days at Monarch Mountain and 3 days at Durango Mountain). Adult season passes are $149 and children 14 and under are $99. Retired military and their family members can purchase a Retired Military Pass for $249 (immediate family is not eligible).

Patriot Passes — With purchase of pass, military members receive 10 – $55 tickets to pass out to friends and family.

Patriot Pass – unlimited skiing and riding at Copper Mountain and Winter Park Resort.  $229 adults, $114 children.

Patriot Pass Plus – unlimited skiing and riding at Copper Mountain, Winter Park and 6 days at Steamboat Resort (not for purchase after November). $239 adults, $124 children.

Liberty Passes - Vouchers can be picked up at REI, Air Force Bases, Fort Carson, Sports Authority and more. Keystone and A-Basin Adults are $195 and children are $112 (children 5-12).

Colorado Ski Resorts

A-Basin (Arapahoe) Ski – Liberty Pass available for military (see above).

Aspen Snowmass – Discounted tickets for military and their families with IDs.

Beaver Creek – Military discount for daily lift tickets.

Breckenridge – Military discount for daily lift tickets.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort – DoD, active duty and their families can purchase discounted passes.  Tickets are $260 for adults, young adults/child passes 7-17 are $113. Daily lift tickets are $25 adult/$13 child (November 24-December 15) and $49 adult/$25 child (December 16-March 11).  With the purchase of a military pass, you will receive discounts at other resorts. Discounts on lodging and ski school January 12-19th.

Copper Mountain – Discounted military tickets $59 adults, $47 for children.

Echo Mountain – $149 military/dependant and student pass. Active duty lift ticket discount available.

Eldora Mountain Resort – Military season pass is $149 for active duty, reserve duty, or their immediate family members. Discounted lift tickets are also available for $39.

Keystone – Liberty pass available (see above) and military discounts on daily lift tickets.

Loveland Ski Area – Stars and Stripes military season pass (see above).

Monarch Mountain– Military discount on season passes for family and military members with IDs. Adults 13-61 are $149 and children 7-12 are $99.

Powderhorn – Passes available for military and their family members with IDs for $299. Military also receive $6 discount when buying a daily lift ticket.

Ski Cooper Resort – Active duty and retired military passes available for discount. Military adult ticket $37 and child tickets $20. Children 5 and under free.

Steamboat Ski Resort – 10% military discount on lift tickets.

Vail - Offers a military discount on daily lift tickets.

Winter Park Resort – Discounts for active duty on lift tickets.

Wolfe Creek Ski Area – Discounted tickets for active duty and their families with IDs. Daily lift tickets are $31 (ages 13-64) and $18 for child/senior (6-12, 65+) and $5 for children 5 and under.

Wyoming Resorts

Grand Targhee Resort – (Grand Tetons area). Full day and half day tickets for $45 for active duty and their spouses only.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort– (Grand Tetons area). Active duty gets 50% off daily lift ticket and 10% off rentals, 20% off lodging, and 20% off lessons.

Snow King – (Grand Tetons area). Active duty gets 50% off daily lift ticket and family member can usually get discounts as well with ID card.

Snowy Range Ski and Rec Area – (Laramie). Discounts available for active duty.

*PLEASE NOTE: You must present a Valid Military ID card for all Active Duty, Reservists, Retired, and Dependants to receive military offer from each ski resort. Visit the Information, Tickets and Tours (ITT) office for information on additional promos and discounts. :D
