Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows recently joined forces in Fall 2011, bringing the two ski resorts under common ownership. Skiers and riders can now access 6,000 skiable acres, 44 lifts and 270+ trails at Squaw and Alpine Meadows on the Tahoe Super Pass or any lift ticket. There’s a free shuttle to take skiers and riders between the two resorts. In the works, a plan to connect the two resorts with added terrain and/or lifts.

Our innovative General Admission program is designed to simplify skiing and riding. The basic idea is this – If you have a qualifying season pass or lift ticket, then you can take a free group lesson of any skill level and / or use our standard rental equipment for no charge whenever “GA” is in effect.
Sound too good to be true? Well, it’s true. Skiers and riders have more fun making turns on snow when they have easy access to the tools and training to improve their skills. General Admission is just another way for us to help you begin or extend your lifetime of joy playing in the mountains.
Important restrictions do exist so here’s everything you need to know to make the most of General Admission at Sugar Bowl:

-Daily from opening day through December 24, 2010.
-Monday – Friday from January 3, 2011 through March 11, 2011, excluding January 17, 2011 and February 21-25, 2011.
-Daily from March 14, 2011 through closing day.

Squaw Valley USA’s next Learn to Ski or Snowboard $35 package deal is Sunday March 7, 2010.
First time skiers and snowboarders are invited to participate in an introductory day at Squaw Valley USA. Participation is just $35 and includes rental equipment, beginner lift ticket and up to a full day of instruction with our team of professionals. The adult program is available from 9am-3pm with lessons starting on the hour.

Adults can follow the signs to the Far East Rental Shop and Papoose Discovery Center.
