=== Join SnowPals at Squaw’s Tram Car Bar for Happy Hour ===

squaw-tram-car-bar

When: Friday 12/27/2019, look for Tim at 3:15 PM inside the Tram Car Bar; we’ll hang out there 3:15 to 4 PM. No need to RSVP, just show up.

Where: Squaw Valley USA Tram Car Bar

‘The Tram Car Bar, a restored 70’s era Squaw Valley tram cabin, has made its home on the Olympic House deck, serving drinks as the Aerial Tram soars overhead. Skiers and riders can duck in for a “Backscratcher” cocktail, a spicy take on the Moscow mule named for a favorite ski trick of the 70’s hot-dogging days.

The 7,000-pound silver tram cabin is a nod to Squaw Valley’s storied past—the original logos and unique shape of the cabin will be the ideal après-ski photo op with the iconic Tram Face in the background.

Tram Car Bar will serve Pabst Blue Ribbon on draft, wine, bubbles, and other vodka cocktails, with a daily happy hour 3-4 pm with $2 off everything on the menu!’ – Squaw

Event Host: Elisabeth

Born and raised in France, I moved to the Bay Area 20 years ago. For work, I organize Corporate events for a Silicon Valley software company.

For fun, I go to Tahoe as much as life obligations permit during winter months. I have an Epic pass with the blackout restrictions so will go several 2-3 day trips this year to Heavenly/Kirkwood/Northstar outside of Christmas, MLK and Presidents’ day. I ski and snowboard depending on quality of the snow and who I am with. I would welcome company to share the drive or just keep me alert by chatting while I drive. I also have a very sweet service dog who travels with me in the car as well as she loves snow as much as I do.

I will mostly do week end trips (Friday evening to Sunday night) but can extend sometimes as I have the flexibility to work remotely. I live in Redwood City so can pick up pretty much anywhere close to 101 north of Redwood City and 580 / 80 from Hayward up. I drive a Subaru Impreza 2016 with rack for 6 pairs of ski or 4 snowboards.

Join us for a fun gathering to share snow-sports stories and to plan ski/ride trips. Looking forward to meeting you!

Please note, we’re limiting this social gathering to the first 12 people who to keep it to a small and an engaging social gathering. If the contact email link no longer works, it means this event has been fully booked.

–> IMPORTANT: Please confirm by exchanging phone numbers if you plan to attend so I can update the restaurant with an exact headcount one day prior. Thanks.

Born and raised in France, I moved to the Bay Area 20 years ago. I am 46 years old and single. I organize Corporate events for a Silicon Valley software company.

I go to Tahoe as much as work and other life obligations permit during winter months. I have an Epic pass with the blackout restrictions so will go several 2-3 day trips this year to Heavenly/Kirkwood/Northstar outside of Christmas, MLK and Presidents’ day. I ski and snowboard depending on quality of the snow and who I am with. 🙂 My daughters don’t like it as much as I do so I do most trips solo when they are with their dad. It is why I would welcome company to share the drive or just keep me alert by chatting while I drive.

I did not find this year a season lease “yet”. So I could be interested in sharing lodging on site as well (or if you know of a ski lease that still has room and accepts dogs, please do let me know!). My dog is small and obviously very well behaved as she is trained to volunteer with me in retirement homes and schools.
Finally, I drive a Subaru Impreza 2016 with rack for 6 pairs of ski or 4 snowboards.

Join us for a fun gathering to share snow-sports stories and to plan ski/ride trips. Looking forward to meeting you!

Do I have to be a member or watch the film to participate in the happy hour meetup?

No, the purpose of the happy hour is for folks to meet-up and to connect with skiers/boarders for ride-sharing during the winter season to Tahoe so you’re welcomed to attend even if you don’t plan to watch the ski film.

Join fellow skiers and boarders to watch TGR’s annual ski/ride film to get stoked for ski/ride season!

Don’t have lots of friends who like to ski or ride or new to the SF Bay Area? Join to expand your circle of ski and snowboard buddies for Tahoe powder trips; share ride-share expenses and help reduce impact to our environment.

Join to meet SF Bay Area skiers/boarders, especially those with a ski season pass, either resort specific or multi-resort season pass like IKON, EPIC, POWDER ALLIANCE, or MOUNTAIN COLLECTIVE PASS, to connect for ride-sharing to/from Tahoe resorts for the 2019-20 winter.

Important: PLEASE be courteous and let us know if you can’t make it after you have RSVPed; sign into EventBrite to change your RSVP so that we can get an accurate count of how many folks to expect. Behind the scenes, we work tremendously hard to put together events so we ask in return that guests to be mindful to give us a heads up if your plans have changed and you can no longer attend. Advance thanks!

What: San Francisco premiere of Winterland (Ski Snowboard Film Screening)

ABOUT WINTERLAND starring Jeremy Jones + Angel Collinson + Cody Townsend + Sage Cattabriga-Alosa + more..

“Winterland is a celebration of ski and snowboard culture. Today’s mountain athletes can only stand as tall as those who came before, the pirates of the past who followed their own path and passion. This story of adventure is far from over, as a new crop of modern-day pioneers are eager to etch their names in the annals of history. The technology and style might evolve, but the rush, excitement, and pure fun remain eternal, bonding past, present, and future riders. The film will follow these individuals as they leave their own mark on these fabled locations.”
