North Lake Tahoe Truckee – 5 Month Ski Lease

We have a great opportunity for up to 4 people (couples are welcome) to join a 5 month ski lease from December 1st to April 30th in Truckee, North Lake Tahoe.

NO PETS ALLOWED.

Currently the lease has 5 members (1 couple) all of whom are working professionals and friends living in San Francisco. For 4 of the 5 members, this will be the third year doing the ski lease in the same house. The fifth member is returning for a second year. The house is 14549 Northwoods Boulevard and can be viewed on Zillow here, although please keep in mind that the furniture and set up of some of the rooms has changed since these photos were taken.

The house is on 3 floors. The ground floor has 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds and one bathroom. The first floor has the master bedroom with a queen bed which is huge and has a desk for remote working and an ensuite bathroom. The first floor also has a large open plan kitchen, living room and dining room with wood burning fireplace and access to two outdoor balconies one of which has the hot tub. The second floor is more of an open plan loft, which is less private but spacious and has three single beds. There is no third bathroom but the first floor has a half bath next to the living room with a toilet and sink.

The house can be used as much or as little as you like but most members tend to spend 2 to 3 weekends per month up there with the occasional mid-week stretch for remote working and some extra mountain time. With everybody’s schedule it tends to naturally work out that the house is about 50% occupied most weekends. We keep a google doc so we can keep track of who is planning to go when as some lease members prefer to be at the house when it is quieter or busier. January – March are the busiest months for house usage. For weekends, most lease members drive up either Thursday night or Friday afternoon and stay through until Sunday or Monday morning.

Everyone in the house are Ikon pass holders and when we are at the house we typically ski together at Palisades or Alpine and socialize in the evenings by cooking dinner together.

Guests are totally welcome although beds are always prioritized for lease members. The living room has a pull out sofa bed, which can sleep two and the master bedroom is so big there is room for a blow up air bed on the floor. Guest fees are $25 per person per night Sunday through Thursday and $50 per person per night on Fridays and Saturdays.
