South Lake Tahoe, CA Ski Lease (10 minutes from Heavenly/30-40 mins from Kirkwood).

We’re a group of skiers and riders between 22-34, who all live in San Francisco, the SF Peninsula or the East Bay. This is our third house together, and the first time we liked our house so much that we’re staying put for a second year. Most people are returning for another year, but we have a few spots to fill.

We are especially interested in people who work weekends, and would come up mainly on weekdays. But we’re also filling normal weekend spots too.

Cost
The cost to join the ski lease is around $1,200 per person for the entire season, which includes the deposit. In a typical season, there is usually money left over from guest fees, which is returned to the participants. Last season, $400 was returned to each member.

Duration of Lease
The lease runs for five months from December 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012.

Beer is included, paid for by guest fees. Seriously.

Guest fees
You can bring as many guests as space and decency allow. Fees are:

  • $30 from Dec. 23-Jan 3
  • $25 on weekend nights the rest of the reason
  • $20 on weeknights the rest of the season

Group
We are a fun-loving and responsible group of beer-loving skiers and boarders in our late 20s and early 30s, all of whom live in San Francisco or the East Bay. Some work in tech, and we also have people in education, massage therapy and real estate. We typically focus on skiing/riding, but that occasionally takes a back seat to having a good time at the cabin. Most people ride at Kirkwood, though some go to Heavenly or Sierra too.

House
Our house is awesome. It has:

  • An awesome location, right by the Tahoe Y. More specifically, one block from (1) a liquor store with a beer cave (2) a peanut bar (3) a sports bar (4) bunch of restaurants. Raley’s grocery store is also a couple blocks away.
  • A keggerator, always stocked with a keg
  • Four bedrooms, with seven queen beds and one king. Also, there’s an extra living room with a sofa bed, and plenty of room for air mattresses in the house.
  • A hot tub
  • Garage parking for 2 cars, driveway parking for 4 cars.
  • A great kitchen, with two ovens, a stainless steel fridge and a five-burner stovetop
  • An L-shaped, granite bar
  • Bi-weekly maid service
  • New construction, built in 2006
