Tahoe Vista Ski Lease Share 2023-2024

We are a group of skiers in our 60’s – 70’s, looking for a few more folks to join our group. The cabin is in Tahoe Vista with nice lake views, about 10 minutes to Northstar and 30 minutes to Palisades. Looking for one more couple, plus a few single skiers or snowboarders to join us. Single women are especially welcome!

About the cabin

4 bedrooms (two with King or Queen beds good for couples, two each with double and twin beds for singles), large LR/family room facing the lake views, ample and comfortable kitchen space. There is an extra room with a bed and TV downstairs for possible guests. The back deck faces a large wooded area with scattered cabins. We expect to have eight members in the cabin, some who come weekends and others weekdays. We communicate attendance via email and/or a google calendar.
Included: two-car garage, WiFi , off street parking, washer/dryer, TV (with extras), snow removal. Utilities are extra, last year about $190 each. End of season cleaning not included, last year was $120 each.

About us

We are mostly retired serious skiers who don’t party, preferring to get out early to catch the best tracks. Most are from the East Bay (Berkeley and Oakland) and one from the South Bay. We all own our own homes, so this is not a full-time residence cabin. We have room for a few extras this year. Looking for same-minded folks (like to watch Rachel on Mondays). We like to prepare and share nice meals together.

Cost

We estimate the cost without the utilities and end of year cleaning to be about $2530 for the season (this is about $632 per month). Lease begins Jan 4 and ends May 5. There is a security deposit of $4500 which we split 8 ways, paid at the beginning of the season, about $560 per person. We treat the cabin like our own homes, so we expect to have this fully returned in May.
