Ski lease ideally for families to share HUGE 10 bedroom South Lake Tahoe property — no blackouts, 5 months!
Great ski lease share perfect for families. We have a unique, charming, and incredibly functional huge (10+ bedrooms) home near the Y in South Lake Tahoe (10 min from Heavenly, 20 min to Sierra at Tahoe, 35 min from Kirkwood, 15-25 min from numerous epic SLT and West Shore backcountry spots).
The house:
– 5,000 square feet, 8 or 9 bedrooms in the main house depending on setup with the addition of a separate heated 8 bunk bed “bunkhouse” (awesome for older kiddos or teens)
– Fully equipped kitchen for groups of 30+ people (2 fridge freezers, 12 range burners, 2 dishwashers, 2 washers and 2 dryers for laundry)
– Fast, reliable WIFI
– Tons of flat parking with snow removal included in lease price
– 8 person hot tub
– Full home theater setup in group room with projector and stereo
– Pool table and tons of games
The house was formerly as a vacation rental (my parents business in SLT for 30+ years) and was purpose built for larger groups of 20 – 50 people. The house has hosted corporate groups from Google, student groups from Stanford and Cal, family reunions, and tons of large ski groups. There’s nothing like it in Tahoe — it’s a simple, old-school Tahoe charm property that’s super comfy and chill with multiple families in there at the same time, has everything you need and nothing you don’t.
My parents older and retired and I’m hoping we can continue to share this incredible property with others. I’m new on here, but ultimately hoping to get a number of family or friend groups (ideally a total of 30 or so) to share the property throughout the winter.
It’s pet-friendly (with prior approval), and kid-friendly. I am usually up there 1-2 weekends per month in the winter time with occasional 1 week blocks, but I also have a maintenance person who can come over and deal with any immediate issues with the property.
If you want a ski lease where you can actually bring guests without worrying about it, then this is your spot. Want to have a massive Tahoe ski weekend and bring 5 or 6 other families or groups of friends from SF? You can totally do that because the house can actually accommodate it.
As this is the first year we’re ski leasing the property, we’re still working out the pricing and terms but there will be different rates depending on if individuals or families want full access, mid-week, or weekend only stays, but hoping the rates will be more than competitive (e.g. half of many of the spots on here) given how large the property is. There will be a guest nightly rate, but again hoping that will be very reasonable.

Cost
$1500 per member for the duration of the ski lease share.
