Two Bedrooms Available in Sugar Bowl Ski Lease Share
Hello! Our family is looking for an additional 1-2 families to join us in our ski lease this coming winter (~December ‘24 – April ‘25) in Soda Springs (Serene Lakes neighborhood, approx. 10 minutes from Sugar Bowl). We leased this same home last winter and loved it and are looking forward to another fantastic season, enjoyed with good company.
About us:
We are a family of four (plus a golden retriever), with two young daughters (ages 6 and 2). We ski at Sugar Bowl, where our older daughter participates in the season-long Mini Shredders program. We are avid skiers, with my wife and I having both grown up in Alaska, who look to spend as much time as possible in the mountains. We both work in the Bay Area, so as much as we’d like to be locals, we are solidly in the weekend-warrior camp, generally arriving Friday evenings and departing Sunday afternoons. We are easy going, and enjoy spending our apres and non-skiing days in Truckee, at the lake, or on the river. We are happy with both communal meals cooked at home, or with outings to some of the great local places in the area. We’re not looking for a party house, but enjoy calm, social evenings.
About the house:
The home is a freshly renovated 3 bed 2.5 bath in the Serene Lakes neighborhood, about 10 minutes away from Sugar Bowl and 20 from downtown Truckee. There is a large family space downstairs, with a living room, dining room, and open kitchen. Downstairs, there is a primary bedroom with en-suite bathroom (which our family will occupy), as well as a half-bath. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one with a queen and two bunked twins, the other with a bunked queen+twin), and a full bath. A large attached garage has room for two vehicles (held a Suburban + 4Runner just fine last year, so plenty of space), and plenty of space to store gear. Outside is a large deck with a hot tub, overlooking undeveloped green space.

About the lease:
The home is leased directly from the owner for five months. Last season, we did mid-December to mid-May so as to enjoy both winter and early spring activities. The full lease is $23,625 for the season, plus electricity. Security deposit is $4,000, from which electricity and move-out cleaning will be deducted. All other utilities, as well as snow plowing, are included. As we will occupy the primary bedroom, we will be covering 40% of the total lease, with the remaining $14,175 + $2,400 deposit to be covered by the occupants of the two upstairs rooms.
