How to join SnowPals on Meetup.
Please note that we have a one time membership fee of $10 which helps to offset Meetup service fee expenses and backend time invested to grow/manage the club/group.
In addition, we allocate a some funds to incentivize event organizers by covering their event drinks/eats as a thank you gift for members who steps up to host meetups.
How to get your membership comped?
If you are a friendly extrovert, consider volunteering to host a meetup; it’s a great way to meet and expand your circle of ski, boarding buddies. Help us host a meetup in your area and we will comped your membership fee. Must agree to commit to host a meetup happy hour/social event within 14 days of joining, email if interested to get the ball rolling.
Being a host is easy volunteer work; the event host is the person to greet and facilitate a fun social gathering. It’s easy, casual and it gives members an opportunity to meet and socially connect with local skiers and boarders in-person. Please be mindful of key requirements: hosts must be reliable and follow through.
Popular casual happy hour socials are pizza and beer meetup, wine tasting get together or an Apres ski happy hour meetup slope-side in Tahoe.
It’s easy to setup a meetup ..
1st, pick a date/time: best to have start time of 6:30 PM or 7 PM on weekdays since folks need to get off work and get to the event.
2nd – use https://www.yelp.com to pick a venue/find a happy hour place for the meetup.

SnowPals is the place where you can offer rides OR find and receive rides between the SF Bay Area and Tahoe, day trip, overnight or multiple nights. Our members are serious snow-sport enthusiasts. With over 8k member’s list of skiers and snowboarders, there is always someone driving the three to four hours haul to and from Tahoe and the SF Bay Area seven days a week since we have among us college students as well as retirees or those who work a non-regular schedule (chefs, digital nomads, etc).
