Donner Summit Ski Lease (near Sugar Bowl)

Join snow sports lovers to share a cabin on Donner Summit! The ski lease runs from Jan 4, 2026 to May 3, with a blackout week Feb. 13-20.

Located in Soda Springs just off I-80, two exits west of Truckee (closer to Sac/Bay Area). There are 5 ski resorts within 10 minutes: Sugar Bowl, Royal Gorge x-country, Boreal, Soda Springs and Donner Ski Ranch. It’s about 30 minutes to Northstar and Palisades Tahoe.

Membership

We are seeking to add members to split house costs and utility costs equitably. Get in touch and let us know how often you want to come up, whether you need a private room (e.g couples), and whether you are interested in a dedicated room for the season.

Details about the house

• 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms
• Double bed with workstation
• Queen bed
• Queen bed with en suite bath
• Bunk room with 2 double beds and 1 twin
• Cozy living room with wood stove
• Well equipped kitchen with bar seating
• Storage for skis, boards, and gear
• Mountain, forest and ski slope views
• Flat parking area fits 4 cars with on-street overflow
• Includes high speed internet, snow plowing, coffee, shampoo

Cost (per season)

• $2000/person – rooms/beds booked by shared calendar (cost may vary depending how many members we end up with)
• $3000/half room share – dedicated room, two weekends/month
• $6,000/room – dedicated room, unrestricted (full time ok)

A deposit of $750 per person is required to secure your spot. It will be used to share utility costs and the balance refunded at the end of the lease.

Guests are welcome with guest fee ($50/night) which will offset utility expenses.
